New-Meets-Old Seattle Farmhouse Transformation

The Thomas family purchased this idyllic farmhouse in 2013 because they were seeking a quiet location to raise their 3 boys. The Little Farmstead, built in 1998, is situated on 2 forested acres.  It provides the growing family with copious amounts of space to work and play. Julie Thomas, blogger, and mother, has decorated her home to reflect the soft colors and simplicity of shabby chic design.  Through her careful selection of furniture and accents Julie has transformed this contemporary abode into a beautiful, rustic retreat.
While her use of light and white textiles throughout the home may cause many parents to shudder, Julie stresses that washable slipcovers and a little bleach are all she needs to keep her home looking fresh and clean.
