Take a stroll through a fabulous farmhouse with a strikingly original kitchen

The dream of farmhouse living for the York family began with a plan, a house plan to be exact.  Upon deciding to build new, Brittany York was unsure of what she wanted and decided to search the internet for some inspiration.  She immediately fell in love with the Sugarberry Cottage house plan available through Southern Living. The 1600-square-foot design of this home is appreciated by many because of its spacious, wrap-around porch, and that's just the beginning.
The layout is simple and efficient and can easily be adapted to suit the needs of the homeowner.  Brittany has designed the home with that sought-after, Fixer-Upper style.  She incorporates plenty of white walls accented by fresh pops of color and rustic furnishings.

One aspect of the home that strays a little from the norm is its concrete floors. However, Brittany insists that they are ideal -- they hold up to the wear-and-tear of her two growing boys. Once you view the gorgeous pictures below, taken from Brittany's Instagram feed, you are certain to fall in love and become a follower.
