Family owned this farmhouse for generations, take a peek at the lovely interior

The home behind the Instagram account, "Our Family Farmhouse" is one for the generations, literally.  Upon moving into this two-storey beauty, Christian and Bryanna Durnwald became the fifth generation to call this classic American farmhouse a home. With every generation, changes were implemented and particular decorating styles revealed until Bryanna and her husband were given an opportunity to make their mark. With the help of friends, family, and a few professionals they tore down many of the main floor walls to create an open-concept space.
When created that sought after shiplap-look they used existing tongue-and-groove boards interspersed with a few new ones when needed. The kitchen was transformed into a light and airy space with white paint, shiplap walls, and industrial lighting. The entire home has been decorated with simply accents that allow the architecture and history of the home to take front stage.  The newest addition to the Durnwald family home is the creation of nursery that will be put to use come September 2016.

A simple, hand-lettered sign adorns the wall above the nursery's simple white crib.
