Have a look at this beautifully restored 1985 farmhouse in small town Alabama

If you were to take a drive through small-town America you would likely find many historical farmhouses with a centenarian status.  However, not all have retained the style and form that set them apart in the first place.  It is wonderful to learn of those who are taking the time to lovingly restore these homes to showcase their original splendor.  Cricket Jones and her husband are one such couple who have embarked on this renovation journey. Their newly-purchased, 121-year old home is located in the small town of Springville, Alabama. The Jones' family bought the home in 2015 and immediately started the process of restoration and renewal.
Much of the home's interior was dated and drab as it had last been updated sometime in the 1980's. Cricket has painted much, if not all, of the interior a crisp, clean white and decorated with plenty of flea market finds and rustic textiles.  Precious family heirlooms like her grandmother's wedding dress can be found displayed throughout the home.
