Long Beach California Craftsman offers a lot of space in a little package

This 1912 Long Beach, Calif. Craftsman-inspired bungalow might have recently passed its hundredth birthday, but it's just as fit for living now as it was back then. With 3 bedrooms and plenty of parking, this 1,144 square foot home makes great use of its space. Situated on a lot over five times the size of the house, there's room to wiggle on every side.
The driveway is long enough for an RV, but considering the location, I can't imagine owning one and living here — if you're in Long Beach, Calif., where's worth leaving for? The large full width front porch is one of two covered outdoor spaces on the property.

The first thing you notice when you walk into this home is the deep, rich crown molding throughout the space. The next shot reveals that there's a bit more space than meets the eye, as this room flows into the adjacent dining room.
The built-in cabinets, drawers, and shelves in this dining room add an air of sophistaction to the space. The room is all tied together by the perfectly-picked dining set.
This kitchen has to be the prized space of the home — it looks like it's straight out of an interior design catalog. It must have something to do with the way the bright, red utensils stand out against the white walls, cabinets, and shelving. The stove is actually a double oven, adding a vintage touch. Also, the lighter colored hardwood floor is lovely.
One of the bedrooms shows off the darker hardwood floors used throughout the top floor of the house. It's more similar in color to the trim and crown molding on the first floor than it is to the other hardwood floor — providing a nice change of pace.
The backyard has plenty of space, and dotted with fruit trees, it'll be a pleasure to spend summers here. Also hiding behind the house is a detached single-car garage with shelving and benches for a workshop. That's not even mentioning the utility shed!
