Family restores 1800s farmhouse

When Morgan and Doug Ford purchased his grandparent's classic farmhouse they knew it would require some serious blood, sweat, and tears.  The home, originally built in 1861 near Grand Rapids, MI, had undergone numerous updates in the years' since. However, the Ford's were up to the challenge and have since returned this home's original rustic appeal. Renovation projects have included the installation of hardwood flooring, redesigning the 1980's kitchen, restoring the ceilings to their 1800's height.
Morgan has added her personal touch to the home through the introduction of industrial and rustic elements, as well as a variety of rich, green foliage. The end result is truly beautiful.  Morgan's clean, cohesive design flows from room to room creating a warm and welcoming prairie appeal.
