See how old and new mix in this classic Cape Cod home

Located in Cape Cod and featuring gorgeous views of Old Silver Beach, Sandra Cavallo's "Old Silver Shed" looks as though it has always been there.  Sandra and her husband purchased the land and the original house with the intention of restoring the home to its former glory.  However, the renovation did not go as planned and so they decided to start fresh, for the most part. They still wanted to incorporate aspects of the old home into the new design.  For example, the fireplace in the living room was salvaged from the original home.  Sandra successfully combines the aspects of modern and vintage design to create a home that is elegant and unique to her family and their lifestyle.
While not located on your traditional "farm", this home incorporates many of the details seen in farmhouse design such as wooden beams, weathered furniture and white-washed floorboards.  The end result is an impressive synthesis of old and new.
