Take a peek into this cozy minimalist farmhouse

Myquillyn Smith, better known as 'The Nester' to her 65.8k followers on Instagram, is no stranger to decorating and designing new homes.  Whether living in a rental or a home to call her known, she has successfully made each home bend to her particular design style and has done this beautifully. In their new home, a 1980's 2-story, Myquillyn was finally allowed to do some in-depth renovating, specifically in the kitchen. In the kitchen alone are many farmhouse favorites: a white paneled ceiling, white Subway tile, and Shaker-style cabinetry.
In 2013, Myquillyn and her family moved to a new home located on 12 acres.  They had previously been renting a home that was larger and this move did require them to do some downsizing, although you wouldn't know it.  The combination of farmhouse style and cozy minimalist design is stunning in this home.  Each room feels spacious and comfortable with its textural elements and richly-colored accents.

The chandelier above this pedestal table is absolutely stunning as it takes center stage in the dining area.

The traditional brick fireplace was painted white to freshen up the living room and coordinate with the white walls seen throughout the home.

Simple and comfortable, Myquillyn's style is well represented in this cozy corner.
The master bedroom features lots of textural elements from the bedding to the accent pillows and sisal area rug.
The design of this porch makes it a fully-functional living space ideal for quiet evenings and bustling gatherings.
