Craftsman homes got their start in Southern California, but the movement was popular enough that it's not uncommon to see homes built in the style all the way on the other coast. While not quite all the way — located in Tampa, this example is located on Florida's gulf coast. Regardless of location, though, it's a Craftsman that the style's creators would have been proud of.
Opting out of the neutral colors often found through Craftsman interiors, this homeowner decided to go with a more zany look. Clocking in at just under 3,000 square feet, this dwelling isn't small by any standards, but cozy design elements help make this house feel like a home.

Sure, the home has lovely hardwood floors — but with those vibrant teal walls, down is practically the last place your eyes go when entering the door. With at least a window on every outside-facing wall, there's plenty of sunshine getting into this space.
The white couch is a bold move (stains, anyone?), but it nicely complements the identically-shaded ceiling, beams, and trim.
Woah — check out this kitchen! Those checkerboard tiles are a blast to the past, as are the cabinet doors. While the decor may have been frozen in the 50s, the appliances have all been brought up to modern day.

The rouge acted as an accent in the other spaces, but here, it's on full display, lending an intimate feeling to a spacious bedroom.
This upstairs loft is a really open space — the possibilities here are endless. What would you do with this room?
The back porch might be the highlight of the home. It's isolated, but airy. Serene, yet lively. I can't think of a better place to sit as the summer sun sets.
