Woodside residence farmhouse has lots of natural light

This newly constructed farmhouse in Woodside, California looks like it has an almost equal square footage of windows and walls. Designed by Charlie Barnett Associates, this house is an elegant incarnation of farmhouse style. White cedar side paneling builds the house’s exterior character while the interior is defined by vaulted spaces and the abundance of natural light.
Here’s the unassuming entryway that leads to the kitchen on the left, living area on the right. The wall art is the first indication that tasteful design awaits inside.

Once inside, this modern, angular entry way is offset with a welcoming plush suede chair.
Over the living area, vaulted ceilings are joined with vintage-inspired metal braces. The dramatic height adds to the airy ambience that comes in through wooden French doors.

This fireplace is the focal point on the far wall. Natural limestone slabs shield the flames from the bordering storage shelves and entertainment area. The tall matching chimney creates a straight vertical to the high ceiling.
The small kitchenette is half-open to the living area. Its pendant light fixtures and rustic bar chairs create a casual ambiance for meals.
This staircase doesn’t need anything besides concealed lighting. Its neutral colors complement the grey cement floors.
This bathroom is large and spacious. The frosted glass and soft mood lighting create a luxurious inner sanctuary.
